Q: How can I open an account in Zhongcai?
A: Clients can visit our company in person at 3/F, The Zhongcai Centre (No. 131 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong) and open a securities account. Please bring all the supporting documents needed for account opening along with the Account Opening Application Form that can be downloaded from our website.
Q: What supporting documents do I need to open an individual/joint securities account?
A: The supporting documents you will need to open an individual/joint securities account are:
1. Original copy of HKID card(s)/Passport(s)
2. Proof of residential address issued within 3 months (e.g. original copies of bank statements, government official letters or utility bills that display clients’ name and address)
3. Personal email address (if applicable)
4. Client's name bank account information (for withdrawal of funds)
Q: How do I know if my account has been opened successfully?
A: After the account is opened, Zhongcai will notify you of your account information including account number and initial online trading password via mail or email. Clients must change their initial online trading password before they are able to trade online for security concerns.
Q: What are the differences between Cash accounts and Margin accounts?
A: Cash accounts (including individual, joint and corporate accounts)rely solely on client's own funds to settle transactions without any margin financing. Clients could choose between cash account and margin account based on their needs.
Margin accounts(including individual, joint and corporate accounts)have the option to buy securities through margin financing provided by Zhongcai. Clients are given a credit limit so they could utilize their capital flexibly when trading securities. It should be noted, however, that after clients sign their margin account contract and start to use its credit limit, Zhongcai will be entitled to refinancing or force selling the securities in margin accounts.
Q: How do I transfer securities from another securities firm/bank?
A: Transfer from outside broker to Zhongcai
Clients need to complete the securities transfer form for their outside broker, listing the particulars of the securities that need to be transferred and providing following information:

Clients also need to complete the “Settlement Instructions/ Investor Settlement Instructions” form that can be found on Zhongcai website and send the original copy to Zhongcai.

Transfer from Zhongcai to outside broker
Clients need to complete the “Settlement Instructions / Investor Settlement Instructions” form, listing the particulars of the securities that need to be transferred and providing information of the securities firms/ banks to which clients will transfer securities. After submitting the original copy of the form to Zhongcai, clients will also need to complete the securities transfer form for their outside broker and provide the following information:

Q: How do I deposit my funds?
A: After depositing or transferring your funds to the following Zhongcai bank accounts, you can email or fax the deposit slip to Zhongcai Settlement department (please specify your name and your securities account number). If you want to send us a cheque, please issue with payee's name to "Zhongcai Securities Limited". You’ll be granted access to trade after the cheque is cleared.

Q: How do I withdraw my funds?
A: Clients can download and fill in Fund Withdrawal / Transfer Instruction Form on Zhongcai’s website, and email or fax the form to the Settlement Department after you complete it. Unless otherwise advised, the withdrawal will be deposited into Clients’ designated bank account in the form of crossed check. The withdrawal instructions must be delivered to the company before 12:00 PM every day.

Q: Why can’t I find my account details after I successfully log into the online trading system?
A: Clients need to install Java before they use the online trading system so that the system will be able to display all the details about your account.
Q: How do I place orders to buy and sell securities?
A: Zhongcai provides two ways for its clients to place their orders:
1: Online trading services- clients can log in their online trading system so they can
trade securities online.
2: Via phone- Clients can contact Investor Services Representatives during trading hours to place their orders.
Q: What fees do I have to pay for each transaction?
A: Clients need to pay the following fees for each transaction:
Commission: 0.25% (min HKD 100 per trade) for HKD denominated equities
0.25% (min CNY 100 per trade) for RMB denominated equities
Stamp Duty (to HK government): 0.13% on gross consideration (Rounded up to the nearest HKD 1)
SFC Transaction Levy (to SFC): 0.0027% on gross consideration
FRC Transaction Levy: 0.00015% on gross consideration
Stock Exchange Trading Fee (to HKEx): 0.005% on gross consideration
CCASS Stock Clearing Fee(to HKEC): 0.002% on gross consideration (min. HKD 2; max. HKD 100) for HKD denominated equities
0.002% on gross consideration (min. CNY 2; max. CNY 100) for RMB denominated equities

Q: What is T+2 Finality arrangement?
A: Under T+2 Finality, securities and money settlement is completed and finalized on T+2 (two business days after the trade). For example, if investors sell their securities today, they will receive their payment two business days after the trade.
Q: What are the trading hours of Hong Kong’s stock market?
A: Trading is conducted on Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) at the following times:

Q: What is board lot?
A: The term "board lot" is commonly used in Hong Kong's securities market to refer to a trading unit. The board lot size of a listed security in Hong Kong is determined by the issuer. One board lot can be 100 shares, 500 shares, 1,000 shares, 2,000 shares, 4,000 shares or other fixed amount. For example, HK Exchange (0388) has 100 shares per lot, HSBC Holdings (0005) has 400 shares per lot, and China construction bank (0939) has 1000 shares per lot.

Q: Do Hong Kong stocks have daily fluctuation limit?
A: Hong Kong stock market does not have daily fluctuation limit. Hong Kong stock prices fluctuate freely based on market supply and demand, and HK Exchange has no intention to limit their daily fluctuations.
Q: What do I do if I forget the login password for my online trading system?
A: Clients can use the following ways to apply for a new online trading system login password.
1. Clients can click “Reset Password” on the online trading system, enter securities account number as instructed, enter the registered email address, and click reset password again. Our system will automatically send out an email containing the new password to you.
2. Clients can call (852) 2703 0080 to contact Zhongcai’s customer service department. Our employee will help reset and send out an email containing the new password to you after confirming your status.
Note: In compliance with SFC rules and to protect our clients’ best interests, our employees will not be informed of clients’ login passwords, and cannot directly tell clients’ their login password via phone. All passwords are sent out automatically by our computing system.
Q: Where can I find the real time stock quotation service for Hong Kong stock ?
A: Clients can apply for real time stock quotes services by filling “Application of Real Time Stock Quotation Service" form on our online platform and sending it via email or fax to our Customer Service Department. Subscription fee will be charged.
